Bright Festival pays tribute to Giancarlo Cauteruccio, director and founder of Krypton, a key figure in Florence’s cultural avant-garde, who recently passed away.
CONCEPT
A visionary and experimenter, Giancarlo Cauteruccio redefined the language of theatre by intertwining art and technology when this dialogue was still in its early stages. His Eneide (1983), featuring music by Litfiba, remains emblematic: an immersive experience where light, sound and stage merge into a single organism.
In the Florence of the new wave, among clubs like Tenax and a vibrant artistic scene, Cauteruccio shaped a radical form of theatre, blending performance, music and vision.
This installation celebrates his living legacy — a journey between memory and future, in the name of an art that continues to reinvent the present.
