CONCEPT
In The Arcades Project, Walter Benjamin reflects on the passages couvertes of Paris and how these typical early 20th century structures represent the original form of modernity – the phantasmagoria that fuels the optical illusion of the social. Starting from this idea, we can think of them as a liminal space, or a threshold, that grants access to another world. These are thresholds halfway between the known and the unknown, moments when we leave behind who we were, without being or knowing what we will become. About a century later, it is possible to cross some of these thresholds with the help of technology – that is, thanks to the physiological and technical extension of human curiosity. Multimedia art is the flashlight that illuminates the uncertainty of the future, allowing us to take risks and to give visual form to imagination and fantasy. Perhaps we will never stop fearing a threshold, however, thanks to that flashlight brightness , we will be less afraid to cross the darkness beyond it.
K.E.N.E., anagram of Keep Exploring New Experiences, embodies our commitment to innovation and our ability to collaborate. The collective brings together multimedia and fine artists, architects, graphic designers, and students from a variety of backgrounds, whose contributions make constant innovation, dynamic perspectives, and diverse creative proposals possible.
Combining technical skills and complementary artistic sensibilities, the team blend digital sculpture, light, and movement, creating visual narratives in which the audience becomes an active participant in the experience. 3D modeling is used not only as a design tool but as an expressive language, capable of generating forms and structures that expand into real space through video mapping.
